Frequently Asked Questions!
Why should I have maintenance done?
Keeping your heating and cooling system in good working order means your utility bills will be lower, your home will be more comfortable, and you'll need to call for repairs less often.
When should I set a maintenance schedule?
Schedule a maintenance service call before the heating season starts. If there are any problems with the system, it's better to find out before it's cold outside! Do the same for your cooling system before the sweltering season begins.
How often should I change my filters?
Replace your heating and cooling air filters every month that they are in use. Operating your system with old, dirty filters means energy is wasted and your system may even be damaged. While you're at it, check and clean your refrigerator coils in your home's cleaners and humidifiers.
What kind of charges should I expect?
We at Fix-it-Rite charge by the 1/4 hour to achieve the most economical benefits for our customers.
How does repairing equipment help preserve the environment?
Repairing will help you keep your unit out of our overcrowded landfills. Thousands of HVAC units, refrigerators, washers and dryers, ovens and microwave ovens are thrown away unnecessarily daily in our country. Many are not disregarded properly and chemicals from the unit may contaminate the soil and water around it.
What sets Fix-it Rite apart from the competition?
We charge by the 1/4 hour which helps our customers save money. We are able to repair the vast majority of existing units and don't sell new equipment unless you absolutely need it.
